Matt Roberts is a Nashville, Tennessee, native and graduate of Antioch High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA from Tennessee Tech University. Matt is an accounting and finance professional with over seventeen years of experience dedicated to the healthcare industry. His experience spans multiple business sizes, from start-ups/small to large enterprises. In 2023, Matt became a Partner of STAR. He is currently leading STAR’s accounting, finance, and revenue cycle.
Before joining STAR Physical Therapy, Matt worked in finance and operations roles across anesthesia, infusion/specialty pharmacy, and airway disease and immunology. During this time, he led the financial modeling and analysis that directly resulted in the initial outside capital funding. Before working in this capacity, Matt was an Accounting Manager with Physician Services, a subsidiary of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). He led a team responsible for the financial reporting for a major division and all hospital-based physician practices there.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Audrey, and three kids: Eleanor, Opal, and Townes. They are usually found on a soccer field, basketball court, swimming pool, or on a weekend trip. He also enjoys playing golf, watching football, and exercising with his tribe.
