At STAR, we make it a priority to assist you with determining what your insurance may or may not cover for physical therapy services. We will do everything possible to prevent surprises. As it relates to your benefits from therapy, we don’t want you to be surprised!

When your first appointment is scheduled, we will obtain your basic insurance details. As a courtesy to you, we will call your insurance company to verify what benefits apply for therapy. When you arrive for your first appointment, we’ll review these benefits with you. Although we can never guarantee the benefits we obtain and communicate to you, we strive to be as accurate as possible.

In addition, we will ask you to call your insurance carrier to check on our work. We want to know if there are any discrepancies between what we verified and communicated and what you discovered your benefits for therapy are.

Important Note About STAR

We do not employ physicians. We employ licensed physical & occupational therapists. Normal co-pays may or may not apply, as we are often considered an ancillary service by insurance carriers.

For example, you may expect to pay a $30 specialist co-pay per visit when, in actuality, your deductible & co-insurance apply.
