Lisa F. Swartz

Lisa Swartz - Partner of STAR Physical TherapyLisa Swartz was born and raised on a farm outside Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where she received her undergraduate Health Science degree and Master’s in Physical Therapy. Lisa became board-certified by the American Physical Therapy Association in Sports Physical Therapy in 1997 and is McKenzie Certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment.

Lisa has been active in athletics her entire life, which fueled her desire to become a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1992, shortly after she began practicing Physical Therapy in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has served patients in the clinic for 25 years and has worked with athletes from recreational to high school, college, and professional levels.

Lisa and her family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2000. She joined STAR and opened our Green Hills clinic in 2001. Lisa has been actively involved in STAR’s Continuing Educational Program. In addition, Lisa has been instrumental in developing our Mentorship Program for our young clinicians. She mentors many of STAR’s Clinic Directors in her primary role of Clinical Operations and works to inspire clinicians to become great mechanics of the human body™.

In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Mitch, and their three children – Lizzie, Mason, and Abby. There are many sporting events to attend and coach for the Swartz Family! They live in Franklin, Tennessee, and are members of St. Matthew Church.
