Lisa Swartz was born and raised on a farm outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL., where she received her undergraduate health science degree as well as her Master’s degree in physical therapy. Lisa became board certified by the APTA in Sports PT in 1997 and is McKenzie certified in Mechanical Diagnosis & Treatment.
She has been active in athletics her entire life fueling her desire to become a Certified Athletic Trainer in 1992 shortly after she began practicing PT in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has served patients for 25 years in the clinic as well as working with all athletes ranging from recreational to high school, college, and professional levels.
Lisa and her family moved to Nashville in 2000, where she joined STAR and opened the Green Hills Clinic in 2001. She has been actively involved in the STAR educational program while developing the Mentorship Program to better serve our young clinicians. She mentors many of STAR’s directors in her primary role of Clinical Operations and works to inspire clinicians daily to become great mechanics of the human body™.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, Mitch, and their 3 children, Lizzie, Mason, and Abby. There are many sporting events to attend & coach for the Swartz Family! They live in Franklin, TN, and are members of St. Matthew Church.
