STAR Physical Therapy Proud to Sponsor 50th Anniversary of “The Game That Changed the South”

Happy New Year everybody! STAR Physical Therapy is a proud partner supporting the 50th Anniversary of “The Game That Changed the South”.

On January 5, 1965, Father Ryan played Pearl-Cohn in the first athletic event in the South between an integrated high school and an all African-American high school.  The game was a classic decided in the last second of play.  However, the impact that the game had as a step to advance opportunity and race relations in the South is what will be remembered most.

To commemorate this historic occurrence, there will be several events held in Nashville on January 5th:
