STAR Partners With Show Hope to Provide Pediatric Therapy to Orphans in China

Sometimes the smallest of acts have the most profound impact in the lives of kids and adults alike.  Teaching a child to sit, orienting their gaze to SEE the world ahead, is what today’s journey is all about. The smiles adorn the rooms here at Maria’s Big House of Hope as new visions are shared among the kids and their nannies….another day in the life at Maria’s.

STAR Physical Therapy and Show Hope are pleased to announce that Trista Flynn will be serving in China at Maria’s Big House of Hope as a pediatric physical therapist for the next 6-8 months.

Trista graduated from Duke University with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in May 2014. She completed her undergraduate studies at West Virginia University, obtaining a BS in Exercise Physiology.  Prior to moving to China to join the family at Maria’s Big House of Hope, Trista completed the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Pediatric Residency Program. She is passionate about working with children of all ages and hopes to continue involvement with global health mission work throughout her career. From Alexandria, Virginia, Trista enjoys trying new foods, attending concerts, and spending time with friends and family – including her Maltipoo, Pearl!
