STAR Clinics Helping “Be a Santa to a Senior”

Each holiday season, STAR Physical Therapy takes time to serve our local communities to bring a little cheer to those in need.  Once again this year, our Hermitage, Donelson, Mt. Juliet, Mt. Juliet South and Lebanon clinics will be partnering with our friends at Home Instead Senior Care on the “Be a Santa to a Senior” initiative.

Home Instead Senior Care provides in home services that allow our aging parents, grandparents and friends to continue to live at home.  Some of the services they provide include assistance with trips to the doctor, medication assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, shopping and even Alzheimer’s and dementia care.  Through their work with these seniors, the staff at Home Instead is able to identify needed items for each senior that they work with.

In early November, our clinics in Hermitage, Donelson, Mt. Juliet, Mt. Juliet South and Lebanon will have holiday wreaths with ornament tags on them that identify specific needs for a senior in that community.  The needs can range from clothing to blankets and other necessities.  You can choose an ornament, purchase the gift that is identified on the ornament, and return the gift and ornament to us at the clinic.  We will take care of the rest and make sure that the gift gets wrapped and reaches the senior in need this holiday season.  It is a great cause that will help many of our friends and neighbors right here in middle Tennessee.   If you have the resources available, please consider stopping by to help a senior in need.
