Every year, STAR Physical Therapy supports a variety of causes within our local communities that we are blessed to serve. This year, it is our pleasure to partner with Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee for our major company-wide fundraiser. We invite you to join us in supporting this fine organization!
Each STAR Physical Therapy location has set up fundraisers within their clinic and throughout their communities. Bake sales, partnering with local restaurants to donate proceeds from food sales, paying to give one of our physical therapists a pie in the face and many more creative ideas have been used by our clinics to help raise money for Make-A-Wish.
All STAR Physical Therapy locations have decorated and placed collection cans in their reception areas for those who would like to simply donate. In addition, limited edition STAR / Make-A-Wish t-shirts are available for purchase at all STAR locations for $20. They are super soft – you will love them! All proceeds collected go directly to Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee to help a child’s wish come true!
Please know that Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee is a wonderful steward of funds donated to them and that is one of the reasons that we have partnered with them. Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee is a 501(c)(3) organization and is very transparent with its finances. Over 81% of funds donated to them go directly to granting a child’s wish. 10% of funds are reinvested into fundraising opportunities while only 9% goes to pay management costs.
Kids have many wishes. One wish child that we recently met is Micah. Micah’s wish was recently granted. Today, Micah is helping others achieve their dreams. Over 1/2 of the wish children wish for a trip to Walt Disney World or another trip around the country. The average cost to grant a wish is $7,500. To date, we have already raised enough to grant one wish for a child! But we’re not done – we want to make many more wishes come true. Please consider visiting a STAR Physical Therapy clinic near you. Make a donation, buy a t-shirt, and join us to help grant a wish to a sick child.
