Haiti Mission Reflection from Donna Fairbank

Thank you again for the opportunity to serve “The least of these”. This trip was very humbling for me, it made me very grateful for what I have and makes me really reevaluate my wants from needs. I have always had a heart to serve others, but now wonder do I or have I ever really sacrificed anything to do it. I watched kids that may only get one meal a day share their food with others.  I saw kids that walk a few miles, sometimes after dark to get water for their family. I looked into huts where families sleep on the dirt floor and had nothing but 4 walls and a roof, yet their kids showed up in clean clothes and their hair neatly done. I have dreamed about the people we served every night since I have been home and wake up every morning and wonder “What am willing to give up today for someone else?”
