Shawn Allender was born and raised in Logan, OH and went on to attend Marietta College in Marietta, OH where he received a BS in Sports Medicine. After receiving his Athletic Training certification he moved to Franklin, TN to attend Middle Tennessee State University where he earned a Masters degree in Exercise Science.
Shawn has nearly 20 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer in the high school and outpatient clinical setting. Shawn oversees STAR’s Outreach Athletic Training Department.
Shawn is active in the community through participation in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and serves as a board member for the Franklin Family YMCA. In his free time Shawn enjoys raising his two young children in Franklin, TN with his wife Kristi as well as spending time on the golf course and hunting.
